三星Note 7事件升級(jí)

Samsung Electronics on Saturday urged consumers to stop using Galaxy Note 7 smartphones immediately and exchange them as soon as possible, as more reports of the phones catching fire emerged even after the company's global recall.

因全球召回之后手機(jī)著火的舉報(bào)也只增不減，三星電子于上周六發(fā)布消息，敦促消費(fèi)者立即停用并盡快更換Galaxy Note 7手機(jī)。

The call from the South Korean company, the world's largest smartphone maker, comes after US authorities urged consumers to switch the Galaxy Note 7 off and not to use or charge it during a flight. Several airlines around the world asked travelers not switch on the jumbo smartphone or put it in checked baggage, with some carriers banning the phone on flights.

這家韓國公司是全球最大的智能手機(jī)制造商。在此消息發(fā)布之前，美國官方已強(qiáng)烈要求用戶切斷Galaxy Note 7手機(jī)電源，不要在飛機(jī)上使用或充電。世界各地的幾家航空公司也要求乘客不要開機(jī)、不要將手機(jī)放于托運(yùn)行李中。一些運(yùn)輸公司也禁止空運(yùn)該手機(jī)。

In a statement posted on its website, Samsung asked users around the world to "immediately" return their existing Galaxy Note 7 and get a replacement. "We are asking users to power down their Galaxy Note 7s and exchange them as soon as possible," Koh Dong-jin, Samsung's mobile president, said in the statement. "We are expediting replacement devices so that they can be provided through the exchange program as conveniently as possible."

三星集團(tuán)在其官網(wǎng)發(fā)布聲明，要求全球用戶“立即”返回其現(xiàn)有的Galaxy Note 7手機(jī)，使用別的替代機(jī)型。“我們正請(qǐng)求用戶切斷手機(jī)電源，盡快更換手機(jī)，”三星移動(dòng)業(yè)務(wù)總裁高東真在聲明中說道。“公司在加快提供替換手機(jī)，已使顧客能夠盡可能方便地通過換機(jī)項(xiàng)目有機(jī)可用。”

Consumers can visit Samsung's service centers to receive rental phones for temporary use. Samsung plans to provide Galaxy Note 7 devices with new batteries in South Korea starting Sept. 19, but schedules for other countries vary.

消費(fèi)者可以到三星服務(wù)中心拿租賃手機(jī)做臨時(shí)之用。三星計(jì)劃9月19號(hào)開始為韓國國內(nèi)的Galaxy Note 7配備新電池，其它國家的日期不一。

Earlier this month, Samsung announced an unprecedented recall of 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7s worldwide just two weeks after the phone was launched. That move came after Samsung's investigation into reports of fires found that rechargeable lithium batteries manufactured by one of its suppliers were at fault.

本月初時(shí)，三星發(fā)布了有史以來最大規(guī)模的手機(jī)召回聲明，僅在手機(jī)發(fā)布兩周后要召回全球250萬臺(tái)Galaxy Note 7。事起于公司對(duì)起火的調(diào)查發(fā)現(xiàn)，其供應(yīng)商之一生產(chǎn)的可充電鋰電池存在問題。

The US was among the first countries to take a step following the recall. Late Friday, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission urged owners of the phone to turn them off and leave them off. It also said it was working with Samsung and hoped to have an official recall "as soon as possible."

美國是首先響應(yīng)召回的國家之一。上周五，美國消費(fèi)產(chǎn)品安全委員會(huì)催促該手機(jī)用戶關(guān)機(jī)停用手機(jī)。該委員會(huì)還表示其正在配合三星行動(dòng)，希望三星“盡快”發(fā)布正式召回令。

The recall by the safety commission will allow the US Federal Aviation Administration to ban passengers from carrying the phones on planes. The FAA already warned airline passengers late Thursday not to turn on or charge the Galaxy Note 7 during flights and not to put the smartphone in their checked bags.

安全委員會(huì)發(fā)布的召回令將允許美國聯(lián)邦航空委員會(huì)（FAA）禁止乘客攜帶該手機(jī)登機(jī)。FAA已于上周四向乘客發(fā)出警告，禁止在飛行途中開機(jī)或充電，勿將該手機(jī)放入托運(yùn)箱中。

Scandinavian Airlines said Saturday that it has prohibited passengers from using the Galaxy Note 7 on its flights because of concerns about fires. Singapore Airlines has also banned the use or charging of the device during flights.

北歐航空在周六表示由于著火隱患，已禁止乘客在其航班上使用Galaxy Note 7。新加坡航空公司也已禁止在飛機(jī)上使用手機(jī)或充電。

Samsung said it had confirmed 35 cases of the Galaxy Note 7 catching fire as of Sept. 1, most of them occurring while the battery was being charged.

三星表示截至9月1號(hào)，已確認(rèn)35起Galaxy Note 7著火事件，其中多數(shù)在充電時(shí)發(fā)生。

There are at least two more cases that Samsung said it is aware of — one at a hotel in Perth, Australia, and another in St. Petersburg, Florida, where a family reported that a Galaxy Note 7 left charging in their Jeep had caught fire, destroying the vehicle.

此外至少還有兩起事件三星表示知曉——一起發(fā)生在澳大利亞珀斯，另一起在美國佛羅里達(dá)州彼得堡市。彼得堡的一戶家庭舉報(bào)說，他們把Galaxy Note 7留在吉普車內(nèi)充電，結(jié)果手機(jī)起火，車也燒了。
