  〖解析〗選A。

show off展示;炫耀,賣弄,與語境相符; take over繼承,接辦;接管; look after照顧,照看;give up放棄,投降。

  〖解析〗選A。 fold up 折疊起來;cover up 掩蓋,蓋住;mix up混淆;拌和;調和。

  〖解析〗選A。

There I was standing on the stage floor when my classmates were on top of their boxes可知,作者在表演時出現了失誤,故本句意為:我沒踩上同伴的箱子,滑倒了,故用slip符合語境。

〖解析〗選A。 the blood rushed to my face/cheek指由于羞愧或憤怒而血沖上了某人的面龐,臉漲的通紅。

由后文的tasting the salt from the tears可知作者哭了起來,所以本句句意應為“我哭了起來”,故D項正確。

  〖解析〗選A。
